roberto cavalli fall 2010
Roberto Cavalli f/w 2010 is the very first collection so far this season that I have loved from beginning to end. I will definitely post more looks from this collection later. One of the highlights from Milan without a doubt.

fittings at rodarte : part one
I am so in love with these backstage shots of models getting fitted at Rodarte.
I spent a few hours going through all of the photos, editing, cropping and putting them together.
(For example, the third shot of Ginta Lapina was two different pictures - but not anymore!)
I am quite pleased with myself, ahaha. Part two to be up soon!

alberta ferretti fall 2010
I loved a lot about this collection - the shoes, the fabrics, the gowns (breath taking!) and the colour palette.
One of my favourites from Milan for sure.

rodarte fall 2010
Going into NYFW, I didn’t have high expectations. Especially not for Rodarte – the last couple of collections from the Mulleavy sisters haven’t impressed me very much; so I didn’t expect to find myself in love with this collection. But I am! I feel like this is their best work since S/S 2009. It maintained the familiar charm of Rodarte but was different in a way. The lace, the knitted tops, the white dresses – I loved it all.
On another note, I feel like I am slowly falling more and more in love with Dorothea. She is absolutely stunning.

remembering mcqueen: 1969-2010
Alexander McQueen Spring 1999
There are no words to describe the loss of such a passionate, driven and visionary man. Some say that you don’t realize how much you value someone until they are gone. But I don’t think it was this way with Alexander McQueen. Because we knew, every time we viewed his work that it was something special; that is was something like no other. We appreciated him before, and now our appreciation and respect only grows and gets stronger.
Rest in peace, Alexander McQueen.

jacquelyn jablonski by kevin tachman
Kevin Tachman followed Jacquelyn Jablonski on a snowy afternoon in New York as she headed for a casting at Zac Posen and fittings at Willow and Yigal Azrouel. She is quickly becoming one of my favourites!

a quick look at new york fashion week
Collections from Cushnie et Ochs and Preen, respectively for fall 2010.
I loved what Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs did; the dresses were sleek, the shoes looked amazing and it was all very ready to wear. The collection wasn't perfect, but some of the pieces were flawless. I loved Preen because of the colour palette; there seemed to be a delicate air surrounding the collection - what with all the silk and cashmere; it was a stunning collection, overall.
