My favourite shots from what I think will forever be one of my favourite Haute Couture collections.

alexander mcqueen fall 2010

Every fashion blogger out there is likely to be posting about Alexander McQueen's last official collection. It was breathtaking - pieces of true art. It is hard to describe the feeling I got viewing the collection; something I will fail to put into words. All that I can say is that the fashion industry has truly severed a great loss.

Rest in peace.

gareth pugh fall 2010

This is the best collection, in my humble opinion, all season. Some of the best work that Gareth Pugh has done in the last couple of years. I cannot wait until more photos come out; shots with different angels, the details, and so on. I am itching with joy thinking about it. I think I've watched the video of this collection twenty-some times. Simply brilliant!

roberto cavalli fall 2010

Roberto Cavalli f/w 2010 is the very first collection so far this season that I have loved from beginning to end. I will definitely post more looks from this collection later. One of the highlights from Milan without a doubt.

alberta ferretti fall 2010

I loved a lot about this collection - the shoes, the fabrics, the gowns (breath taking!) and the colour palette.
One of my favourites from Milan for sure.

rodarte fall 2010

Going into NYFW, I didn’t have high expectations. Especially not for Rodarte – the last couple of collections from the Mulleavy sisters haven’t impressed me very much; so I didn’t expect to find myself in love with this collection. But I am! I feel like this is their best work since S/S 2009. It maintained the familiar charm of Rodarte but was different in a way. The lace, the knitted tops, the white dresses – I loved it all.
On another note, I feel like I am slowly falling more and more in love with Dorothea. She is absolutely stunning.

a quick look at new york fashion week

Collections from Cushnie et Ochs and Preen, respectively for fall 2010.
I loved what Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs did; the dresses were sleek, the shoes looked amazing and it was all very ready to wear. The collection wasn't perfect, but some of the pieces were flawless. I loved Preen because of the colour palette; there seemed to be a delicate air surrounding the collection - what with all the silk and cashmere; it was a stunning collection, overall.
